Published Feb 10, 2010The latest instalment the charity concert series KYEO is set to take place on February 18 at Guelph, ON's E-Bar. The monthly showcases have previously given proceeds to local causes such as the Guelph Food Bank and the Canadian Cancer Society, but February's show will be raising funds and awareness for Out on the Shelf, Guelph's queer library and resource centre.
February's show will feature Evan Gordon & the Sad Clowns, DJ Charless (of Starlight Lounge notoriety) and Ian Blurton + Huron = Happy Endings, the collaborative effort of Canadian guitar icon Ian Blurton and Hamilton rockers, Huron, whose arithmetic name explains it all.
Tickets are $8 with a non-perishable food item and $10 without. You can donate your non-perishable food items at any of the ticket outlets, and get tickets at the Bookshelf, CSA Office and Waterloo's Orange Monkey record shop. All food donations will be sent to the Guelph Food Bank.
The concert is all ages. For the purposes of full disclosure, Exclaim! is helping sponsor the event.
In related news, the KYEO concert series will soon play host to the Bonfire Ball Tour which features Jason Collett, Zeus and Bahamas, on March 11, while Old Man Luedecke and Pat Lepoidevin are set to play the series in April.
