I Love You But I've Chosen Darkness Return with Long-Awaited Sophomore LP

Texas-based brooders I Love You But I've Chosen Darkness have been off the radar for years, but the band have finally announced they're back in the game and will have a new album out this fall. Dubbed Dust, the group's long-awaited sophomore set lands October 28 via Secretly Canadian.

Press materials reveal that the Austin ensemble's second full-length is filled with "10 new tracks of dark, driving, propulsive rock." As with their 2006 debut, Fear Is On Our Side, the band tasked Ministry drummer Paul Barker with production duties.

Twin Peaks is said to be a touchstone for the recording sessions, in particular for new tracks like "Safety" and the "fatalistic" offering "You Are Dead to Me." While you'll have to wait a couple of months to grab the album in full, you won't have to make a deal with the devil to hear opening track "Faust." You'll find a stream for the gloomily sung, tightly wound slice of '80s-indebted post-punk down below, along with the record's tracklisting.

Dust:

1. Faust

2. Stay Awake

3. Heat Hand Up

4. Safety

5. Come Undone

6. Walk Out

7. You Are Dead To Me

8. 69th St. Bridge

9. The Sun Burns Out

10. WAYSD
