Vancouver-based electro two-piece Humans are finally following up years of EPs and mixtapes with their debut full-length Noontide, and Exclaim! is celebrating its release by streaming the album in its entirety.
Consisting of producers Robbie Slade and Peter Ricq, the duo have been churning out dark but danceable indie-electronic music since 2010. The new record sees them seamlessly blending pop catchiness with more experimental electronic sounds, all brought together with help from producer Nik Kozub (Shout Out Out Out Out).
Noontide is Humans' most polished work to date, delivering glossy synths, eerie percussive breakdowns and vocals that range from party-starting to lullabye-esque, courtesy of Slade.
A press release describes the new album as "a showcase of their innovative mix of heavy electronics with modern pop sensibilities," consciously making an effort to build on the pair's "restless aesthetic experimentation." You'll be able to experience that raw energy at the band's upcoming live shows, which you can find listed below.
The record arrives on February 24 via Hybridity Music, but you can give it a listen right now, in the player below.
