Published Jun 03, 2010If you blinked recently, you might have missed that Trent Reznor not only announced his participation in new project How to Destroy Angels, he also released two songs for fan remixes and, indeed, a free six-song EP, which you can check out here. Now, don't blink again, or you'll miss this: the group have announced that they are at work on a full-length LP, and it's set to drop in early 2011.
As TwentyFourBit points out, Trent Reznor revealed in a recent Tumblr Q+A session that "We are working on a full-length release now. We hope to have it released Q1 2011."
Reznor also revealed his intentions behind releasing an EP so quickly:
[T]his EP is an artifact of the very first experiments we tried together. We were going to wait until we had a large batch of songs and then distill them down from there, but we liked this first collection and decided to release them. I would expect the next release to sound a bit more focused as we discover more about our combined chemistry.
So, there you go. You have a sampling, now get ready for the professional stuff.
