How to Destroy Angels Announce Debut Album, Release Music Video

BY Alex HudsonPublished Jan 10, 2013

How to Destroy Angels' debut album has been a long time coming, as Trent Reznor revealed that the group were mixing the finished product way back in 2011. Now, the outfit have finally confirmed some of the details of their full-length.

This disc is called Welcome Oblivion and will be out on March 5 through Columbia Records. It follows the recent An Omen EP, which came out back in the fall.

This announcement confirms the rumoured album title that leaked a few months ago thanks to a careless last.fm user. It means that the leaked tracklist that popped up at the same time may also be legit. See that rumoured tracklist below [via Antiquiet].

While we wait for HTDA to officially release more information about Welcome Oblivion, they have shared a new video for their An Omen cut "The Loop Closes." The dark, VHS-looking clip is at the bottom of the page.

Welcome Oblivion (rumoured tracklist):

1. Keep It Together

2. The Wake-Up

3. Too Late, All Gone

4. We Fade Away

5. Recursive Self-Improvement

6. Hallowed Ground

7. And the Sky Began to Scream

8. Ice Age

9. On the Wing

10. How Long?

11. The Loop Closes

12. Strings and Attractors
