It's been well over a year since gruffly voiced Floridian melodic punk combo Hot Water Music first revealed plans to issue their CD/DVD concert package Live in Chicago, but the effort finally arrived yesterday (January 15) via No Idea Records. In case you haven't made your way to an official retailer just yet, you can stream the live album in full via Exclaim!
As previously reported, the album was recorded in February 2008 at the Windy City's Metro, and some of the songs were previously offered up on 7-inch vinyl. The 30-song collection runs through much of the band's back catalogue, with just a couple of highlights including Forever and Counting anthem "Better Sense" and old single "Moonpies for Misfits." In addition to the CD/DVD, the audio recordings will be available on limited-edition colour vinyl and include a digital download card. Six colours of vinyl are being pressed and will be limited to 550 per run.
