The Horrors Announce 'Skying,' Share New Single

BY Gregory AdamsPublished May 24, 2011

Though the Horrors' lead singer Faris Badwan spent some time this year moonlighting with his Exclaim!-approved side-project Cat's Eyes, we knew practically straight from the get-go that he wouldn't stray from his full-time gig for long. Making good on his promise, Badwan and the rest of the UK gothy pop rockers have just announced their third album, Skying.

The record, which follows up their tripped-out sophomore set Primary Colours, is set to be released July 26 on XL. The ten-song set was self-produced by the band at their London studio, and you can check out a stream of the slow-burning, horns- and synth-heavy album cut "Still Life" below.

Additionally, the Horrors have just announced a string of shows. Regrettably for those of us on this side of the pond, save for a stop at ATP in New Jersey next October, the dates all take place in Europe.

Skying:

1. "Changing the Rain"

2. "You Said"

3. "I Can See Through You"

4. "Endless Blue"

5. "Dive In"

6. "Still Life"

7. "Wild Eyed"

8. "Moving Further Away"

9. "Monica Gems"

10. "Oceans Burning"
