Hooded Fang and Doldrums Members Team Up for Debut as Phèdre

We've already learned of one upcoming Hooded Fang side-project in the form of Holiday Rambler's upcoming album. Now, the Toronto indie pop crew have produced another spinoff in the form of Phèdre, which includes band members Daniel Lee and April Aliermo, along with Airick Woodhead of the buzzed-about electronic project Doldrums.

The band's ten-song self-titled debut will come out digitally on February 14 via Daps Records. According to a press release, "The seeds for the Phèdre collaboration were sown in an attic, over three late summer nights and hundreds of bottles of cheap wine." It was reportedly inspired by Greek mythology and Nancy Sinatra's duet with Lee Hazelwood, "Some Velvet Morning."

Daps Records will also reportedly put out new releases from both Hooded Fang and Doldrums later this year.
