Honey Jam Announces Toronto Auditions for 2011 Edition

BY Josiah HughesPublished May 10, 2011

Forget Canadian Idol, as this year we will see the return Honey Jam, the longest-running all-female talent showcase in Canada. Honey Jam will continue in 2011 with another contest for undiscovered talent, with the nationwide search kicking off its 16th year next month with auditions in Toronto.

The audition takes place on June 5 at Toronto's Mod Club (722 College St.), and while the judges have not yet been named, the event is said to include "reps from record labels, radio, media, artist funding bodies, producers, managers, vocal coaches and artists."

There is no charge to audition, and female performers of all musical genres are welcome to give it a go. Also, if you don't live in Toronto, you can email a link of your performance to Honey Jam organizers. The public is welcome to watch the auditions and tickets to the event are a mere $5.

Artists chosen to perform at the 2011 Honey Jam showcase, which takes place in Toronto on August 11, will be announced in July. More information on Honey Jam can be found here.
