Last month, Canadian actor Richard Hong was found dead at George Stroumboulopoulos's Los Angeles home. Now, the LAPD has arrested a homeless man on suspicion of committing the murder.

Based on evidence found at the scene, the suspect was arrested and taken into custody out of state on Monday (October 3) but is expected to be extradited back to California. The detained suspect reportedly has a past criminal record.

Hong was staying at Stroumboulopoulos's L.A. home while the television personality was in New York. He was discovered dead on September 23, as a result of blunt force trauma. Hong was 41.

At the time, Stroumboulopoulos shared a message, which read: "I am heartbroken… There's so much to say but I'm at a loss for words so just love your people and I will have more to say when we know more about what happened."
