Holy Ghost! Announce New Album, Share James Murphy Co-produced Track

BY Alex HudsonPublished Jul 9, 2013

DFA stable members Holy Ghost! recently shared some "Dumb Disco Ideas" on a recent single, and they promised that this would be followed by a new full-length called Dynamics. Sure enough, the Brooklyn synth-pop duo have announced the new full-length, which will be out on September 10.

That's the makeout-friendly album cover above and the 11-song tracklist below. As you'll notice, "Dumb Disco Ideas" is included.

While that song remains the only album cut we've heard, the band have shared a new outtake called "Teenager in Heat." This flickering pop cut was co-produced by James Murphy and will be released digitally and as a 7-inch single. That song is streaming at the bottom of this page, along with "Dumb Disco Ideas."

Neon Indian leader Alan Palomo and former LCD Soundsystem member Nancy Whang sing backup on the album, but apparently "Teenagers in Heat is the only track that Murphy worked on.

Also below is Holy Ghost!'s summer tour schedule, which includes U.S. gigs with New Order and a festival gig in Montreal at Osheaga.
