Hole's 'Celebrity Skin' Gets Vinyl Reissue

BY Alex HudsonPublished Jan 9, 2014

Here's some good new for grunge fans with a penchant listening to music on wax: Hole's 1998 album Celebrity Skin will be getting reissued on vinyl this month. It will be out on January 13 through Dutch label Music on Vinyl.

According to Discogs, the album has only been pressed on vinyl once before, which was in Europe at the time of the original release. This new version comes on fancy 180-gram wax, which is apparently "yellow/red flamed" vinyl. (Although, to be honest, the picture of the record simply looks orange.) The original 12-song tracklist is preserved.

This reissue is limited to 2,000 copies and comes with an insert. It's available to pre-order from Amazon, although the import fees are fairly pricey.

Several of the songs on Celebrity Skin were co-written with Smashing Pumpkins leader Billy Corgan, including the hits "Celebrity Skin" and "Malibu."

Thanks to Modern Vinyl for the tip.
