Hillside Festival Announces 2013 Edition with Fucked Up, the Sadies, Lee Ranaldo, Bonnie "Prince" Billy

Hillside Festival is now in its 30th year, and the organizers of the long-running event at Guelph Lake Island in Ontario will be celebrating this milestone by presenting impressive lineup of performers that includes Canadian favourites, in addition to some stars from abroad.

The event runs from July 26 to 29. The lineup features Fucked Up, the Sadies, Diamond Rings, Bonnie "Prince" Billy and Dawn McCarthy, the Darcys, Colin Stetson, Whitehorse, Akron/Family, Shadowy Men on a Shadowy Planet, Hayden, Lee Ranaldo Band, Martha Wainwright, Yamantaka // Sonic Titan, Two Hours Traffic, METZ, the Lowest of the Low, Said the Whale, Eight and a Half, the Pack A.D., Jim Guthrie, AroarA, the Wilderness of Manitoba, Yukon Blonde, the Weather Station, Daniel Romano and the Trilliums, Pokey LaFarge, July Talk, King Cobb Steelie, Sarah Neufeld, Snowblink, Lindi Ortega, Aidan Knight and more.

The weekend also includes spoken word performances, a children's area, workshops, a market, food and other attractions.

Tickets go on sale on May 4 at 10 a.m. local time. A full weekend pass costs $125 (plus taxes and charges) and single-day passes range from $45 to $75 (plus charges), depending on the day. These will be available from TicketBreak.com or in perform at the Hillside Office, the Bookshelf (Guelph), Soundscapes (Toronto) or Encore Records (Kitchener).
