Published Feb 27, 2013In what's definitely one of the more unconventional fest announcements we've seen, the Bore Music Festival has confirmed the artists who will be playing at this year's event on July 27 in Hillsborough, NB.
Rather than issue a press statement, founder Kelly-Sue O'Connor has released a video featuring her three-year-old son reading out a list of performers. It's not quite as clear as a standard press release, but it's definitely cuter. This year's performers are Jon Mckiel, North Lakes, Catherine MacLellan, Laura Peek, Abdominal & the Obliques, Margo Margo, Morgan MacDonald, Acres and Acres, and the Olympic Symphonium.
The festival is a non-profit event from which all proceeds will go towards some good causes: Nature NB (which sends local kids to nature camps), Foods of Fundy Valley and the Kiwanis in Hillsborough.
Incidentally, the kid from the clip is named Fenn and his story inspired a toy drive for Sickkids hospital. Learn more about Fenn's Foundation here.
Information about the Bore Music Festival is available at the event's website. Tickets for the 2013 festival aren't yet available.
