High on Fire Head Out on North American Tour with Kvelertak and Doomriders, Announce New Single

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Sep 3, 2013

Having recently delivered a few vinyl reissues and a pair of live LPs, Bay Area metal crew High on Fire have now announced a new single, as well as a North American tour.

A press release notes that the band's new "Slave the Hive" single drops October 16 as a digital download and as a limited-edition 7-inch. A tracklisting has not yet arrived to confirm whether any additional songs will be included on the vinyl release, but a video for the track is expected to drop around the same time as the 7-inch. This will be the band's first new material to be released since 2012's De Vermis Mysteriis LP.

High on Fire will get to show off "Slave the Hive" on stages later this fall on a North American tour that teams them up with Norwegian punk/metal blenders Kvelertak. Opening duties will be split throughout the trip by the almighty Doomriders, Pack of Wolves and Windhand.

The trip, sponsored by Scion A/V, kicks off in November and will stop in a number of Canadian cities before wrapping up in L.A. on December 12. You'll find the show details down below. High on Fire's "Slave the Hive" 7-inch will be available at the merch table throughout the tour.
