High on Fire

"The Sunless Years"

Oakland metal squad High on Fire are torching the competition with yet another loud and brawny preview from their upcoming Luminiferous LP. This time, they're maxing out amp levels while detailing "The Sunless Years."

The track presents a bluesy barrage of riffs and beats, while leader Matt Pike bellows out a tale about the veritable gang of venomous vampires ready to take what they want from you. The hard-swung crusher also showcases the guy's insane guitar skills with a supremely choice, limber-fingered guitar solo. Even if the band were encumbered by darkness, the track cooks in a way that should keep them warm for eons.

You'll find the latest leak from the band's new album, previously described as a "supersonic exercise in conquest," down below [via Entertainment Weekly]. Lumineferous hits stores June 16 via eOne.

As previously reported, High on Fire hit the road this summer, with shows in Vancouver and Toronto set to take place in August. You'll find the itinerary details over here.
