Published Nov 22, 2010Back in June, Hey Rosetta! talked to Exclaim! about their new album, which frontman Tim Baker described as having "a bigger, kind of orchestral sound." Now, months later, we finally have some details about when we're going to hear the Newfoundland folk rockers' new LP.
On Friday (November 19), CBC Radio 3 guru Grant Lawrence tweeted, "Just told that the new @heyrosetta album is called 'Seeds' and will be out on Feb 15 2011!"
Seeds was recorded at the Sonic Temple in Halifax and will come out via Sonic Records. It will be the band's third full-length, the follow-up to 2008's Into Your Lungs (and Around in Your Heart and on Through Your Blood).
There's no cover art or tracklisting yet for Seeds, but in the meantime, Hey Rosetta! have a smattering of shows coming up before the end of the year. With a new album coming out, expect more gigs to be announced before long.
