Published Aug 28, 2018While Hey Ocean! released their album The Hurt of Happiness this year, the Vancouver band are taking a trip down memory lane with their next release. The group have revealed they will be celebrating the 10th anniversary of their sophomore album It's Easier to Be Somebody Else with a new reissue.
The reissue of Hey Ocean!'s 2008 album will arrive on September 6. It will be remastered and arrive on all digital platforms.
Hey Ocean! will also play the entire album live in Vancouver on September 7 as part of the of SKOOKUM After Dark series. For this show, former drummer Daniel Klenner will also be rejoining the band.
In a statement, Hey Ocean! said the following:
September marks the 10-year anniversary of our second album, It's Easier to Be Somebody Else and though it holds a special place in our hearts and sparked many important friendships and creative collaborations that we still hold dear to this day, IE2BSE was always something that we felt was left unfinished.
We can't wait to share these re-mastered songs and we hope you enjoy them as much as we do. It's crazy how time flies... Thanks to everyone for all the support over the years.
