As "Weird Al" Yankovic fanatics surely recall, the accordion-loving satirist revealed plans for a massive box set last summer, promising his entire career in music would soon be collected in one big package. At last, the details of said package have arrived.
As promised, the box set, titled Squeeze Box: The Complete Works of "Weird Al" Yankovic, will include his entire catalogue, featuring all his albums from his 1983 self-titled debut to 2014's Mandatory Fun. This amounts to 14 studio LPs in all, as well as a bonus disc of non-album tracks called Medium Rarities from across Yankovic's career. A 100-page book promising a "treasure trove of unseen photos and memorabilia" is also included.
It's all due out on November 24 via Legacy Recordings, with the box arriving on remastered CD, 150-gram vinyl and digitally. Amazingly, it will also all be housed in an exact replica of Yankovic's signature accordion (see below).
