After Rockstar Games revealed that music from D'Angelo, Willie Nelson, Rhiannon Giddens and more would be a part of the soundtrack for Red Dead Redemption 2 last year, the complete tracklisting for the game's musical release has finally been revealed.
Set to arrive digitally July 12 through Lakeshore Records, the 13-track album was produced by Daniel Lanois and features music from himself, in addition to D'Angelo, Giddens, Nelson, Homme, Rocco DeLuca and more.
D'Angelo's contribution, a solo track titled "Unshaken," saw an official release this past January. You can hear Lanois' "Table Top" and DeLuca's "Crash of Worlds" in the players below.
"Red Dead Redemption 2 provided a terrific compositional space, vast and covering a range of emotional textures — a real place for my imagination to run wild," Lanois said in a statement. "From recording with Rhiannon Giddens in Nashville, to New Orleans with my friend Cyril Neville, to New York City with D'Angelo, to Willie Nelson and Josh Homme, the inspiration never quit!"
A companion album called The Music of Red Dead Redemption 2: Original Score, composed by Woody Jackson, will also be available this summer.
