Municipal elections are happening across the province of Ontario today, and while doing his democratic duty in Toronto, Fucked Up's Damian Abraham misplaced his passport.
A plea to find the Exclaim! cover star's passport was first made by the vocalist's wife in Bunz Trading Zone, an online bartering Facebook group-turned-app that has also proven useful as a community group for GTA residents.
UPDATE (10/23, 11:56 a.m. EDT): Abraham's wife has confirmed that a rider on the 161 bus found the passport and has turned it in to the Toronto Transit Commission, adding that "it seems like it will all work out."
The post (archived below) notes that Abraham is retracing the steps he took after casting his ballot earlier today, noting that "he leaves for tour in one week and we'd love to avoid the super $$ extra fast replacement fee."
Abraham's wife also included a handy headshot of exactly the kind of face someone would make upon discovering they had lost their passport.
Plainly put, the entire situation is Fucked Up, and we hope Abraham is reunited with his passport before trying to replace it.
The band delivered their Dose Your Dreams LP earlier this month, and they'll begin a North American tour behind the disc in Ottawa early next month.
