Portland indie pop vets the Helio Sequence have unveiled another colourful video behind their upcoming self-titled set. This one stars a disembodied green head, and you can watch it float about in the new video for "Upward Mobility" right now.
As you'll see down below, Emanuele Kabu's visuals are quick-shifting and prismatic. Early on we see the sketched outline of a head filled-in to reveal our stoic star, who gets submerged in waves, obliterated by kaleidoscopic patterns, and fed at least one gumball-shaped meal throughout the track. As for the music, the Helio Sequence slather the song in rippling, finger-picked guitar work, pastel percussive textures, softened vocals and a room-exploring echo of piano.
