Heavy Metal Jazz Concepts

Mariko Presents… Heavy Metal Jazz Concepts

BY Garet GuitardPublished Mar 1, 2004

A group of four consisting of drums, guitar, bass, and keyboard that plays a jazz/metal/rock mix. I guess the guitar does play something along the lines of metal-like riffs but in a very mellow, soft rock way. The bass has a basic jazz style and sounds very upbeat. Most interesting part is the keyboards, which at time sound like haunted house stirrings and at others ’70s psychedelic hippy music. The music reminds one of easy going progressive metal/rock based very much in jazz, so it’s best described as rock jazz, if that’s what you’re into.
