BY Exclaim! StaffPublished Jun 23, 2023

The summer solstice has come and gone, and with the arrival of Carly Rae Jepsen's new dancefloor bop "Shy Boy," the season has officially begun the way god intended. Your weekly dose of the nation's best new music also includes Jeremy Dutcher singing in English for the first time, Elisapie taking on Metallica, and Islands acknowledging that life is, in fact, a laughing matter.

It's a big week for album releases! There are shiny new LPs from Jenn GrantCastle Frank (In Your Blood), Valley (Lost in Translation), Terry Uyarak (Unnuaq), des hume (FM.era) and Floor Cry. We also have new EPs from Katie Tupper and 9Million.

Elsewhere, Francesco (formerly of the Elwins) announced his debut solo EP with new single "which light," K'naan and the Barenaked Ladies make comebacks (the latter including the lyric, "We're lovin' life, we're lovin' life / It's like a pizza and we want another slice") and Shania Twain and Sunnsetter expand their albums with new bonus tracks.

Explore all that and so much more with The Eh! List below, presented by Mary Brown's Chicken & Taters — all Canadian and proud of it!
