Hear Rostam's Take on the Pogues' Christmas Classic "Fairytale of New York"

BY Sarah MurphyPublished Nov 30, 2017

Ex-Vampire Weekend player Rostam is the latest indie rock star to get in the festive spirit.

Following up this year's solo debut Half-Light, he's offered up a cover of a Christmas classic. Rostam has unveiled a version of the Pogues' holiday classic "Fairytale of New York," which was aptly recorded at the Spotify Studios in New York.

The original song turns 30 this year, so it's about time it got treated to a bit of an update. Kirsty MacColl's parts are filled in by an uncredited female singer, and you can hear her collaboration with Rostam in the player down below.
