Having apparently recovered from COVID-19 symptoms, Radiohead guitarist Ed O'Brien has resumed promoting his upcoming solo album under the name EOB. Now, he has shared his Laura Marling duet "Cloak of the Night" from Earth.
The song is a gentle folk number anchored by nothing more than a fingerpicked acoustic guitar and yearning duet vocals. With no proper chorus and a runtime of two and a half minutes, it's a humble tune with strains of Nick Drake (and devoted Radiohead fans might get a faint whiff of "Faust Arp").
