Published Jun 22, 2009Searching for new music can be tough. While you could just listen to the radio or watch music TV, let's face it: a lot of the time the best songs aren't the ones that get the most air play, if at all. Sometimes all we need is a little push in the right direction to hear our new favourite songs. Luckily, Exclaim!'s always-keen-for-something-new writing staff make it a priority to bring the latest and greatest in new music, and it's all found at Click Hear.
This week, we have what sounds like the bastard child of Sonic Youth and Fleet Foxes, Halifax's York Redoubt, the long anticipated solo project from drummer and producer extraordinaire Karriem Riggins and an Exclaim! exclusive, the emotionally fuelled live version of "This Ain't You" by Great Bloomers, which marks the second instalment of the Audio Recording Academy's Secret Sessions.
Also included in the latest Click Hear instalments are two flawlessly monotone songs from Mary Timony's newest band Soft Power, and Alexisonfire's anthemic opening track off their fourth full-length album, streaming exclusively on Exclaim.ca.
