Though Canada is set to get much colder these next few months, it isn't stopping Jenn Grant from rolling out a cover of a summertime staple.
Grant has offered up her own interpretation of Don Henley's "Boys of Summer," which you can hear in the player below. Featuring her voice and guitar, Grant's cover version fits the transition of summer to fall more naturally than Henley's driving original.
"When I started playing guitar when I was a kid, I just naturally gravitated towards making up my own songs rather than learning other people's songs," Grant recalled in a statement. "But it's something I've always wanted to be better at, so here is the first cover song I've learned lately; it's a beautiful one by Don Henley and it marks the end of a season, a new one beginning and sometimes the emotions that hangs in the air."
Grant has also announced her first live show of 2020, which will bring her to Halifax's Rebecca Cohn Auditorium on Valentine's Day (February 14). You can find her forthcoming itinerary below.
Grant released her Love, Inevitable album earlier this year.
