Because the folks at Anti- just can't seem to stop themselves from signing every act imaginable, the label is set to release the new album by "Hammond B3 alchemist" Booker T. Jones. Due April 21, Potato Hole is the renowned soul man's first solo album in decades, stepping away from his legendary MGs for this recording, which is being called "raw and edgy, fun and innovative."

Says Booker T. about the album, "I really feel like I've been opened up again, I've got the creative muse working for me. It's like I have discovered a new method, a little road I can take to open it up, and I'm excited about playing this music."

Featuring the Drive-By Truckers as his backing band, Potato Hole was produced by Booker T and Rob Schnapf (Elliott Smith, Islands) and features covers of Outkast's "Hey Ya," Tom Waits' "Get Behind the Mule" and the Truckers' own "Space City."

Exclaim! has been given the Canadian exclusive for "Native New Yorker," a track from the new album that features none other than Neil Young.
