Deceased Dismembered and Left to Decay

Peterborough, ON's Heaps of Dead unleash debut effort Deceased Dismembered and Left to Decay with brutal force. With influences that range from Pig Destroyer to Decrepit Birth and Origin, the five-piece band have mastered the traditional sound of death metal. Heaps of Dead also add down-tempo grooves and distinct intensity to their overall ominous sound, making the band unique among the masses of brutal death metal bands. The release is vicious right from the start with "Kuklinski," which includes blazing guitars, guttural vocals and severe blast beats. Heaps of Dead's most noteworthy features are the death metal growls demonstrated by vocalist Tyler Clements and the intensely fast blasting drumbeats of drummer/backing vocalist Jason Kurz. But it's tunes like "Ebola" and "Vollum Strain" that showcase the entire band's musical proficiency. With each member's skill for their instrument honed to perfection, it's the precision and unison as a band that make the debut release a solid one.
