Headless Owl and You've Changed Detail Community Theatre Supergroup Featuring Michael Feuerstack, Shotgun Jimmie, Baby Eagle

Last fall, Canadian labels Headless Owl and You've Changed Records combined rosters for a collaborative getaway in Whitehorse. Now, the fruits of that project are set to arrive in the form of Northern Register, an album due out October 7 under the supergroup band name Community Theatre.

Community Theatre's large lineup includes Mathias Kom (the Burning Hell), Kyle Cashen (Old Time Machine), Chris Adeney (Wax Mannequin), Michael Feuerstack (formerly known as Snailhouse), Steve Lambke (Baby Eagle), Ian Kehoe (Marine Dreams), Jim Kilpatrick (Shotgun Jimmie), Richard Laviolette, and Colleen Collins and David Trenaman (Construction & Destruction). Visual artist Shary Boyle is also involved.

The musicians spent their days recording, while the nights were spent rehearsing in a cabin. A press release notes, "By day four in the studio, it was decided that it wasn't simply a collaborative project being put together, but rather an album, Northern Register, made by a newly formed supergroup — Community Theatre."

The tracklist is below. It's unclear from this who fronts each song; interestingly, there's a tune called "Snailhouse," which is Feuerstack's former moniker. At the bottom of the page, watch a three-minute trailer about the project.
