HBO Cancels 'Vinyl'
While the present-day vinyl boom continues to explode, the fictionalized 1970s era of the medium has apparently come to an end. Despite renewing the series for a second season, HBO has decided to cancel the Martin Scorsese and Mick Jagger TV show Vinyl.

The Hollywood Reporter has shared a statement from HBO, who didn't go into much detail about its decision.

"After careful consideration, we have decided not to proceed with a second season of Vinyl," the network said. "Obviously, this was not an easy decision. We have enormous respect for the creative team and cast for their hard work and passion on this project."

Vinyl suffered disappointing ratings for the network, and its first season cost $100 million to make. Fake wigs and cocaine, it turns out, are not very cheap.
