Hayden's Dream Serenade Benefit Gets Broken Social Scene, Barenaked Ladies, Dan Mangan

The inaugural Dream Serenade concert proved to be a breathtaking affair back in 2014, and the Hayden-curated benefit show is set to return to Toronto's Massey Hall for a third instalment this fall.

It will take place on October 22, and the list of featured performers includes Broken Social Scene, Barenaked Ladies, Amy Millan, Dan Mangan, Lou Canon, the Persuasians and Hayden himself.

Dream Serenade was established by Hayden Desser and his wife Christie Greyerbiehl two years ago, intended as an annual event to support Toronto's Beverley Junior Public School and other local schools that support children with special needs, as well as the Family Relief Fund, which provides support for parents and caregivers.

"Dream Serenade began as a way to raise funds for our daughter's incredible school, but it's become so much more than that," Desser said in a statement. "It's become an essential part of our lives, and the ideal way to celebrate this community of inspiring people."

In the last couple years, the benefit has raised more than $125,000 for the aforementioned organizations.

Tickets for this year's event are currently available here.
