The Haunted

The Haunted Made Me Do It

BY Sean PalmerstonPublished Nov 1, 2000

After losing their original vocalist to a teaching career, Swedish metal imports the Haunted return with both a new voice and a new drummer. These are two aspects that improve the band immediately. With a drummer firmly in place who knows more than one drumming pattern and a vocalist in Marco Aro that is more dedicated to the band, The Haunted Made Me Do It is a nice improvement over the band's 1998 self-titled debut. The attack is a little more varied this time around, the focus is still based around the twin thrash guitar leads of Jensen and Anders Bohler, but the added dynamics of being able to play varying speeds make the band even more similar to At The Gates (the Bohler brothers previous band) than ever before.
