Harlem "Friendly Ghost"

Harlem "Friendly Ghost"
TRACK OF THE DAY: Austin, TX group Harlem have been getting quite a lot of blog love lately, and rightfully so. They've found favour with Germs drummer Don Bolles who describes the band as "a nomadic band of super-cute urban street orphans." The trio have infused the crowded field of garage rock with an ample dose of power-pop and fun, tongue in cheek lyrics – just check out their track "Psychedelic Tits."

But "Friendly Ghost" is their best yet, and bodes well for their debut album, Hippies, which comes out on Matador April 6. The track chronicles the life of a dissatisfied ghost, unable to leave the graveyard. Faced with an itinerant life he "just wants to disappear."
