We've been hearing rumblings of a new album from Hannah Georgas for some time, and now the Vancouver songwriter has formally announced her sophomore effort. The self-titled collection will arrive on October 2 via her new label home of Dine Alone Records.

Speaking of the signing, Dine Alone boss Joel Carriere said in a statement, "We are excited she trusted us to be a part of her team in the next chapters of her career. We have been fans since This Is Good and can't wait to introduce her self-titled record to the world."

The album was produced by Graham Walsh of Holy Fuck at Ontario's Barn Window Studio, with additional recording taking place at Walsh's home studio, Basketball 4 Life. It was mixed by Howie Beck (Chilly Gonzales, Feist, Jason Collett). Album contributors include Ryan Guldemond of Mother Mother, Loel Campbell and Tim D'eon of Wintersleep, Joel Stouffer of Dragonette, and Dean Drouillard of Sarah Harmer's backing band.

This follow-up to 2010's This Is Good "clearly veers into more electronic and atmospheric territory," according to the press sheet, "swirling around Hannah's unmistakable voice and marks a confident step forward for her."

For a taste of the singer's electronic-leaning new sound, listen to the premiere of the keyboard-heavy single "Enemies" below. Expect more album details (including an Exclaim! interview with Georgas) and tour dates to arrive soon.
