Having already graced Hamilton, ON's James Street North district for the past two years, the city's Supercrawl festival is back for another instalment. Taking place on September 10 between 1 p.m. and midnight, this celebration of art and culture will include musical performances by J Mascis, Electroluminescent and the Megaphonic Thrift.
The details for this year's edition are still coming together, with this being only the initial lineup announcement, so there's no word as to who the visual arts and dance performers will be, nor where the after-parties will be going down. Last year featured over a dozen musical acts, so you can expect more performers to be announced in the near future.
The 2010 event celebrated "the diversity of Hamilton's James Street North district, our multi-disciplinary arts community, and the incredible spark that results with our unique mix of cultures, businesses and creative people." The organizers wrote that 2011's Supercrawl will be "the biggest one yet," so brace yourselves for a hell of a party.
Just so that all of our cards are on the table, we should point out that Exclaim! sponsors this event. Stay tuned to the Supercrawl website for updates.
