Published Mar 15, 2012Halifax's Electric Voice Records specializes in all things eccentric and boundary-pushing, and the label is looking to spread the word by releasing a new compilation showcasing some forward-thinking artists.
Perhaps the biggest names involved are lo-fi kingpins Ariel Pink and R. Stevie Moore, whose previously unveiled track "Dutch Me" will appear here. Also on board is electronic hype-magnet d'Eon, Femminielli (who appeared on that Visage Musique sampler we liked so much), electro duo Soft Metals, Echo Kitty spin-off Automelodi and Montreal rockers Grand Trine.
The simply titled Electric Voice Compilation will be released in a limited edition of 500 double LPs and 500 cassettes. It will be available on April 8, and you can pre-order your vinyl copy here. Cassette copies won't be available to purchase until release day. Until then, see the tracklist below.
