Halifax Pop Explosion Rolls Out Complete 2012 Lineup, Adds Ceremony, Skratch Bastid, the Elwins
This year's Halifax Pop Explosion was already looking pretty incredible, as previously confirmed acts included Of Montreal, Dan Mangan with Symphony Nova Scotia, Black Lips, Wintersleep, Cold Specks, Atlas Sound and more. Now, the full lineup for the 20th anniversary edition of the festival, which runs from October 16 to 20, has been confirmed.

Joining the bill are Ceremony, Skratch Bastid, the Helio Sequence and DJ Craze. And among the other acts to be added to the lineup since the initial announcement are: the Elwins, Extra Happy Ghost!!!, Amos the Transparent, the Burning Hell, Tasseomancy, Cold Warps, the Dudes, Eugene Mirman, Parlovr, Mo Kenney, Slam Dunk, North Lakes, Monomyth, Terra Lightfoot and more.

All told, there are more than 160 acts head to the festival, and this is a hell of a lot more than the original instalment in 1993, which had 19. Five-day wristbands cost $65, while the priority pass is $150 and a VIP pass is $275. These will get you access to all HXP shows, although wristbands and priority passes don't include the Rebecca Cohn Auditorium (where Mangan will be playing).
