Published Jul 13, 2010By now you've probably got your summer festival plans figured out, so it's time to start planning for the fall. In October, Halifax Pop Explosion will be returning for another year, and based on the initial lineup announcement, it looks to be a good one.
The festival and conference will run from October 19 to 23, taking place in various venues around Halifax. Among the performers already signed up are the New Pornographers, the Hold Steady, Sloan, Basia Bulat, High on Fire, Handsome Furs, Great Lake Swimmers, Jason Collett, Old Man Luedecke and Great Bloomers. See the full list of all the performers confirmed so far here.
Festival wristbands are available now and will set you back $50, although if you're one of the first 200, it will only be $35.99. Priority passes cost $75 and mean that you get to skip the line, as well as get access to various showcases and special events. A VIP pass is $175 and will guarantee you entrance to any festival event, regardless of capacity.
You can purchase passes and wristbands by phone at 1-888-311-9090, online from Ticketpro.com, or in person at any Ticketpro location.
Individual tickets for the New Pornographers show will go on sale this Friday (July 16) and tickets for Basia Bulat will be available on August 3. Go here for more details.
