Published Aug 14, 2013Long-running Maritime music festival the Halifax Pop Explosion has finally fleshed out the lineup for its 2013 edition, with headline acts including the Walkmen, Fucked Up, Wavves, Action Bronson, Japandroids and comedian Todd Barry.
"The 2013 lineup is the most comprehensive and diverse we've ever put together," said the Halifax Pop Explosion's executive director Johnny Stevens of this year's fest.
Besides the acts mentioned above, the five-day festival, which runs from October 22 to 26, will feature performances from the likes of Shad, the Besnard Lakes, Young Galaxy, METZ, Braids, Great Lake Swimmers (solo), Chad VanGaalen, Hannah Georgas, Hollerado, No Joy, Doldrums, BadBadNotGood, Dirty Beaches, Obits, Grandtheft, Zeus, Dusted, Lunice, the Plan, Suuns, KEN Mode, We Are Wolves, Aqua Alta, Leif Vollebekk, Ladies of the Canyon, Royal Canoe, By Divine Right, Thus:Owls, Lindy, the Beards, the Zolas, Louise Burns, BA Johnston, Pick a Piper, Jay Arner, Groenland, Woodpigeon, Kayo, Quake Matthews, Poor Young Things, and the Highest Order.
The announcement follows the festival's initial lineup sneak peek back in July, which announced headline performer Killer Mike, comedian Brian Posehn and a special Symphony Nova Scotia concert with Joel Plaskett and musical protégé Mo Kenney.
