Halifax Pop Explosion Adds Cold Specks, Ryan Hemsworth, Rich Aucoin, Zeds Dead

Earlier this month, the Halifax Pop Explosion revealed a pretty weighty collection of artists attached to this year's fest, but organizers have now upped the ante with a second wave of lineup reveals, including the brooding Cold Specks and hometown hero Ryan Hemsworth.


Along with the aforementioned artists, the new additions now coming to Halifax between October 21 and 25 include electronic duo Zeds Dead, throat singer Tanya Tagaq, posi electro popper Rich Aucoin and Good Morning Tonight. This is in addition to previously revealed performers like Danny Brown, Against Me!, Tokyo Police Club, Twin Shadow, Chad VanGaalen, Operators and a collaborative set from Ghostface, Raekwon and BADBADNOTGOOD.

Also added to the roster recently are Tennyson, TEEN, Mo Kenney, Kim Churchill, Kalle Mattson, Mozart's Sister, Kim Harris, Jon Mckiel, Vogue Dots, Freelover Fenner, Glory Glory, Weirdo Click, Gianna Lauren, AA Wallace, Jay Mayne, Like A Motorcycle, Heaven For Real, OUTTACONTROLLER, Panos, the WAYO, Brave Radar, Kappa Chow, Colour Code, Alfie, Soupcans, Strange Attractor, Technical Kidman, Thrillah, Un Blonde, Veneers, Walrus, WTCHS, Old and Weird, and kurvi tasch.

Early bird ticketing for the Halifax Pop Explosion is still on until Friday (August 22), a move influenced by this being the 22nd anniversary of the event. Naturally, wristbands and VIP passes will be sold for 22 percent less than their usual cost up until Friday. You'll find out more info over here.
