BY Sarah MurphyPublished Apr 4, 2016

The annual Halifax Jazz Festival will be celebrating 30 years on Canada's East Coast this summer, and to mark the occasion, organizers are going big with this year's event.

Following the announcement that City and Colour would be playing the 2016 edition of the festival, it has now been revealed that Lauryn Hill will also play a headlining set. She'll perform at the Main Stage by the waterfront on July 12. Tickets for the show go on sale April 7 and will be available for $68.

So far, Basia Bulat has also been added to the bill, though more artists are expected to be announced in the coming months.

The Halifax Jazz Festival runs from July 12 to 17 at various venues around Nova Scotia's capital city. Festival passes are currently on sale for $129, with the option of upgrading to a front-of-line Fusion Pass for $229.

Full festival information and updates can be found at the official website.

Lauryn Hill will also be playing several more Canadian dates in the coming months, including stops in Vancouver, Saskatoon and Montreal. You can see all her dates here.
