Gruff Rhys and Boom Bip Return as Neon Neon for 'Praxis Makes Perfect'

BY Josiah HughesPublished Jan 24, 2013

It's been half a decade since we last heard from Neon Neon, the collaborative project between Super Furry Animals frontman Gruff Rhys and experimental producer Boom Bip. At long last, however, they're set to return with a follow-up to 2008's Stainless Style.

In keeping with the pun-based album titles, the duo have named this one Praxis Makes Perfect. Thematically, the release surrounds the life of Giangiacomo Feltrinelli, the 20th century activist and writer who published The Leopard and Doctor Zhivago.

In addition to Rhys and Bip, the album features guest appearances from Sabrina Salerno, Asia Argento, Cate Le Bon and Red Hot Chili Peppers guitarist Josh Klinghoffer.

We're still awaiting tour dates as the duo prepare a special, conceptual live performance. In the meantime, we know that Praxis Makes Perfect will be available on April 30 via Lex Records.
