Grouper and Lawrence English Team Up for Debut Album as Slow Walkers

Both Grouper (a.k.a. Portland's Liz Harris) and the Brisbane-based Lawrence English concoct immersive, experimental soundscapes, and now the two likeminded artists have teamed up for a collaborative album under the name Slow Walkers. Their self-titled debut will be released through Peak Oil Records on August 20.
According to a brief description from the label, the album was "born from a mutual fascination with horrific depictions of the human present and future." It will be pressed in an edition of 400 with a gold-foil cover and silk-screened labels.
The collaboration was first unveiled last year with an ultra-slow motion, zombie-filled video called "Wake." The song is a dark haze of molasses-thick ambient textures; it's currently unknown whether it will appear on the album. The video is below, along with a live clip of Grouper and English performing the same track.
The album is available to pre-order at Peak Oil's website.
