Grounders

"Grand Prize Drawl" (video)

BY Alex HudsonPublished Mar 12, 2013

Atmospheric Toronto indie pop band Grounders' Wreck of a Smile EP was impressive enough to land them a deal with Nevado Records. The label rereleased that EP today, and the band have shared a video for the track "Grand Prize Drawl."

The clip for this twinkling pop-rock number will look familiar to anyone who has seen BBC's Life series, since it uses natural footage from that documentary. It begins with shots from the ocean floor before moving on to images of bugs being eaten, and concludes with some rather gory shots that focus on the cruel side of the animal kingdom.
