Published Dec 14, 2009Brooklyn, NY's Grizzly Bear haven't stopped riding a wave of praise since releasing their acclaimed third album, Veckatimest, earlier this year. Now, it looks as if the band are going to keep the momentum going by moving on to some new soundtrack work.
Over at The Playlist, the website points to a listing on the Sundance website for Blue Valentine, a new film starring indie-friendly actors Ryan Gosling and Michelle Williams. The film, which follows the disintegrating relationship of a married couple, has Grizzly Bear - and only Grizzly Bear - listed under its music credit.
While there isn't much more information to go on, it's safe to presume that the band may be offering up some new material for the film. Whether that comes in the form of a score or some actual songs is yet to be seen.
Blue Valentine is set for release in the second quarter of 2010, although it will premiere at the Sundance Film Festival on January 24.
