Grimes Shares List of Favourite-Ever Songs Featuring Beyoncé, Enya, Taylor Swift, Skrillex

If Grimes' controversial DJ set for the Boiler Room this summer proved anything, it's that people are fascinated by the Canadian pop experimenter's taste in music. Now, the outspoken musician has let fans in on her personal listening habits by posting a list of her favourite songs on Tumblr.

The list is titled "Greatest Songs of All Time." As we would have expected, given her pop-centric Boiler Room set, it includes plenty of slick, radio-friendly pop tunes like Beyoncé's "Single Ladies," a few Rihanna cuts, Paramore's "That What You Get," a couple of Mariah Carey tracks and Taylor Swift's "I Knew You Were Trouble."

But it's not all mainstream pop, since the very diverse list also includes decades-old classics (Prince's "When Doves Cry," Patsy Cline's "Crazy"), critically acclaimed recent material (Animal Collective's "In the Flowers," Kanye West's "Lost in the World," Joanna Newsom's "Cosmia," Majical Cloudz' "I Do Sing for You"), divisive songs that are bound to incite mixed reactions (Marilyn Manson's "The Beautiful People," Enya's "Boadicea," Skrillex & Wolfgang Gartner's "The Devil's Den"), a healthy dose of '90s faves (Chris Isaak's "Wicked Game," Tool's "Ænima," Nine Inch Nails' "March of the Pigs" and "Closer"), and even some full albums (Portishead's Dummy, the Ghost in the Shell soundtrack).

Grimes has indicated that she might update her list, so check back to her Tumblr page for future updates. In the meantime, see the current list below.
