Arty synthpop star Grimes just shared a couple of songs from her recently announced Art Angels earlier this week, and now she's rolled out another. It's called "SCREAM" and it features Taiwanese rapper Aristophanes.
Grimes' singing isn't featured here at all, as the vocals consist entirely of Aristophanes' enigmatic, breathy flow. Sonically, the track rides a spiky groove of rat-a-tatting drum machines and spy-movie guitar licks. It certainly lives up to its title, since there are lots of bone-chilling screams.
Hear the wild song below. Art Angels will be out digitally on November 6 via Eerie Organization/Crystal Math/4AD/Beggars. Physical versions on CD, vinyl and cassette will follow on December 11.
