Green Day Packaging 'iCuatro!' Documentary in Deluxe Reissue of 'iTre!'

Earlier this year, pop punk mainstays Green Day brought their behind-the-scenes documentary iCuatro! to cinema screens, but the flick will now be issued for home theatre owners in a deluxe repackaging of their ¡Tre!

A message from the band today (August 6) confirmed that the CD/DVD package will hit store shelves August 26. The original edition of iTre! arrived last December as part of a trilogy of LPs. A tracklisting has not yet been made available, so it's unclear if any extra tracks are being made available in the package.

iCuatro! was directed by Tim Wheeler and produced by Tim Lynch, and acts as a making-of feature detailing the genesis of iUno!, iDos! and Tre! Of the film, bassist Mike Dirnt had previously noted "¡Cuatro! brings our fans one step closer by giving them even more access and revealing what it was like for us to make these records."

Guitarist/vocalist Billie Joe Armstrong added at the time: "It's not going to be the sitting down, head shot of me going 'we started out blah blah blah. We wanted to get into lifestyles of rock'n'roll and playing rock'n'roll and letting the story kind of tell itself rather than create revisionist [history]."
